Liam Spencer and Ivy Forrester get caught kissing on Bold and the Beautiful next week

Hidden Remote

The week of Apr. 29 is going to be an interesting one as Deacon and Finn continue their search for Sheila Carter but, when it comes to romance, things are also heating up! The Bold and the Beautiful preview gave us our first look at Ashleigh Brewer's return to the soap as Ivy Forrester, and she's starting her time back with love potentially being in the air.

In an interview with Soaps.com, Brewer shared that "Ivy is back and on a mission. She knows what she wants, and she is back to map a plan." And we can definitely see that she's not wasting anytime. Ivy is going to be sat at a restaurant with her former flame, Liam Spencer, and the pair looked rather cozy while grabbing a bite to eat at Il Giardino.

Looking radiant in a blush pink ensemble, Ivy told Liam that she still thinks about him which should come as no surprise since she was ready to go above and beyond to keep him in her life back in the day. By that I mean she dropped her Australian accent and tried to turn herself into Steffy-lite in the hope that he'd give their romance a second chance. But according to Brewer, Ivy is in a different place now. She's worked on herself, "she spent the past few years in Sydney, developing her own jewelry and fashion label and finding great acclaim there.” So, presumably, the Ivy we're going to be reunited with is more mature and settled.

She, however, doesn't look to have grown out of her love for Liam since she's the one who initiates their kiss at the restaurant. But, given Liam recently told both Steffy and Hope that he isn't looking for romance, it's unclear if anything will come of the exes catching up. Liam said he wanted to be a man his daughters--Kelly and Beth--could admire and he's spent much of his adult life waffling between their mothers. Hopping into a relationship with Ivy wouldn't really be a change of pace since he'd been pursuing Steffy when he thought he could get in the middle of her marriage to Finn.

It's my hope that he'll actually get to stick to being single. Either way though there's sure to be drama because it appears Steffy is set to wind up at Il Giardino as well. She might be picking up lunch, though it's far more likely she's there to pay Deacon a visit to get him to drop his claims that Sheila is alive, but she could get an eyeful. Based on her face in the promo, it doesn't look like she's going to be thrilled to see her cousin locking lips with her best friend and ex-husband.

Could this be because Steffy likes having Liam in the wings? Or perhaps this is about her friend getting the space to work on himself like he wants without any interference or push for him to try his hand at romance again so soon after his divorce and decision to remain single for awhile. I'm not sure, but I cannot wait to find out!
